The Original Farmhouse

The Farmhouse, all 12oo square feet, in its glory!  The main house includes one long room with no real purpose, a living room and bath.  The small addition on the right side with the three windows is a mudroom and the larger addition behind it is the kitchen.  Upstairs included 4 bedrooms, narrow hall and small closet all in 500 square feet.  Do the math.

The barn sits directly across the street, and although it needs work is probably the highlight of our purchase, next to the land of course.

The Stairs leading from the main level to the second floor bedrooms.  It is difficult to tell from this picture, but the stairs are very steep and the tread on each step, very narrow.  My ladies size 8 foot hung off each step.  By a lot.

Three of the four bedrooms are pictured here.  The ceiling is at 7 feet.  For my 6'1" husband, its a little claustrophobic.  The "pink" room is about 8 by 9.  The "purple" room is an odd L shape and 7 by 10 at its largest.  The "paneled" room is the largest at 10 by 11 but that does not account for the space taken up by a "built-out" closet.  The remaining room (not pictured) is also about 7 by 10.

The eat in kitchen.  Its approximately 12 by 15+ feet but what you see is what I got in cabinets.

The living room at the base of the stairs.
The mystery room.  Growing up, my grandparents used this as a dining room.  It was the original kitchen.  The door pictured behind me, with the wood-instead-of-glass pane, leads to the mudroom.  However I can never remember it being used.

The one and only bathroom, not as old as the rest of the house since even my dad can remember using an outhouse.
A corner of the basement, an atrocity I will not revisit.
